1.6 is just a maintenance branch now, and Gecko 1.9 is not too scary any more, so once we fix the last of the large livability bugs (which I think is just bug 398417 at this point) we should switch the "nightly build" link to downloading 2.0a1pre.
Done since 1.6 was released.
