User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 Build Identifier: Lightning 2008033120; Sunbird Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13pre) Gecko/20080331 Sunbird/0.8 In order to import CSV data exported by Outlook 2003, I had to change regional setting from UK to US. Export the data. Import it into Lightning/Sunbird. Change regional settings back. When attempting to import directly into Lightning/Sunbird while regional settings was UK, nothing happened. No messages were shown and no change occurred in the calendar. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set region to a UK (or other region which doesn't use mm/dd/yy format) 2. Create CSV file with dates that can only be valid under format for region 3. Import CSV file into lightning / sunbird. Actual Results: Nothing happens. Expected Results: The CSV data should be imported in a similar manner to what happens when the data contains dates valid in US date format (mm/dd/yy). Also duplicated with nightlies: - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.15pre) Gecko/20080429 Calendar/0.9pre - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008042920 Calendar/0.6a1 I was unable to test the problem on OSX as the importer simply refused any attempt to import a CSV file.

Please download attachment 306959 [details] "calOutlookCSVImportExport.js - Complete file for Sunbird/Lightning versions 0.7 and 0.8" from bug 359083 and replace your local file in SunbirdDir\js\calOutlookCSVImportExport.js with the downloaded one. Feel free to report the results.
Downloaded and tested on the three Sunbird versions mentioned above. Calendar with UK format dates (dd/mm/yyyy) imported successfully in all three. Thanks.
