Mac (2000-06-20-08 M17) 1. Launch Messenger 2. Select Edit-> Preferences 3. From Mail and Newsgroups category, select sub-categroy View Messages Compose message Addressing Actual result: checkbox lines are blank. Expected result: Should have text next to checkbox. This occurs on Mac only. Win32 and Linux are fine.
I think this is tree widget related. prefs --> alecf.

Fenella, does this mean that the user cannot see the text for each checkbox item?

Mac (2000-06-21-08 M17) Right. I cannot see the text for each checkbox item. To reproduce it, You have to select the Preference's sub-categorys the second time around in the same Prefs session because you may not see the bug the first time around.
