Download manager will show the file or web page to be downloaded. Status bar download and a speed is displayed. After download is completed, the option to open is greyed out as if the file was deleted.

2.download file/picture

Actual Results:  
download appears to be functional but no file located.

Expected Results:  
the ability to download a file/web page/image/anything to specified or default location like firefox has always been able to do

can you provide more information:
- does using a new profile fix the issue for you?
- are you using any kind of 3rd-party-securitiy software?
- ensure that you have write access to your specified download directory
