Title/Summary Viewer demos #14 XML sorting - A text box moves when any scroll bar arrow is clicked. What Happens When any arrow on a scroll bar on the above page is clicked, the text area with the bill gates book moves up and down. How to reproduce Click Debug/Viewer demos/#14 XML Sorting Click the toggle style button. Click a scroll bar arrow in one of the text areas. The text with the bill gates moves up and down. What should happen It shouldn't move up and down. Build info Running 2000062108 win32-installer on Windows 95. Has also occurred since on at least the last couple of nightlies.

I can see that behavior as well, confirming bug. Actually it is always the text of the AAA road atlas, that appears a little bit above the Bill Gates text. It shows up for half a second or so and disappears, going to the right place. This can be seen, clicking on any of the others textbox arrows as well.

Ahh, forgot to mention that this behavor has been seen at least in Win95,W2k and Linux.
I've checked this out on Linux and NT. On Linux, the flash of the overlapping text box is noticeable but momentary. On NT, there is no flash. Given the severity of other bugs that we need to fix, I am, unfortunately, going to mark this bug post RTM...

Actually, the flashing text box can be seen on NT too when I click on the scrollbar buttons. I was mistakenly clicking in the scroll area and not seeing the problem. This does not change the future nomination, but I thought I'd correct myself publicly.
