Very often when i'm trying to access a website I get this message:
Connection Interrupted
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
I had to refresh the website for it to actually work.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
I'm using Firefox 3 Beta 5. In the about:config menu I tweaked a couple things to make it run faster. I'm also using Google Web Accelerator.

I get this message sometimes but very, very rarely. I assume when this happens the server has problems.

I experience this and also endless hanging very often with Yahoo mail only on Firefox 3 beta and RC1. FF2 works and also IE and other browsers.
Curious is that when I use FF2 to load Yahoo mail on another machine suddenly in FF3 it starts to work normally. But that can be just misleading conclusion. I'm not using any web proxy. Unfortunatelly I am not sure from which version this occurs.

I found out that the problem is in my personal firewall. It resets the TCP session when peer state is out of order or when FW session timouts.
Also the claim that FF2 has no problem is not true. My tests showed that there is the same problem with FF2 when used on the same machine (windows).
yeah im having the same problem but when uploading to mediafire, or other websites .
I have the same problem when accessing some slow and images-heavy site. When the image is half-loaded and I press reload during loading, Firefox give me this error. Clearing the cache seems to fix this problem, before I do the same thing(reload during loading) again.
I have been experiencing this Connection Interrupted error since updating to FF3. It is at the point where I am going to remove FF from being used by my Firm and either switch back to IE or move to another browser. This is something that seems to be experienced by a large number of users and is not getting the Attention of the development team.
I understand that there exists other projects or issues but when you consider that the browser is NOT WORKING - then I do believe that it trumps all the other issues. We were make some great strides with the conversion of users from IE to FF but now I can no longer recommend the use of this browser until I know that the issue has been resolved. Thank you for your care, concern, understanding and quick resolve of this issue.
I have experienced a similar problem. When I selected right click > Open in New Tab, the page would initially display 'The connection with the server was reset' (URL: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=2e6e5a9c-ebf6-4f7f-8467-f4de6bd6b831&displaylang=en).
Then after I refresh the web-page is displayed normally.

I too have the same problem and it has only happened since I upgraded to 3.0.10.
Sometimes it happens and other times it doesn't. It is especially annoying since it often happens on Google and I use Google all of the time. Every once in a while I can get through but not very often. I am at a point where I too am looking for an alternative browser. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but it doesn't help. I have also started it in safe mode but it still happens.
This is a serious problem that is happening to many people and should be addressed ASAP. I agree with Bowden above that Mozilla does not seem to be taking this problem seriously enough. I love Firefox but if this functionality problem continues, I will be forced to go to another browser, perhaps Chrome.

I have this problem when I use a Linksys WRT5463G WLAN 3G router. I get about 1MBit bandwidth, and the connection is a little flakey. I don't get the problem on other kinds of internet connections. I use Firefox 3.0.11.
Most of the objects on the page www.aftenposten.no transfer OK, and the page is rendered. After about 12-14 seconds the page is replaced with the error message. The problem is intermittent, sometimes the page loads with no problems.
I believe that this problem is related to a TCP RESET from the server, probably because of a server timeout after about 12-14 seconds. Using wireshark to watch the communication, I found a few TCP connection resets. I'm unable to see which reset caused the error.
With IE8 I get the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"...

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.x or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

I've not observed this problem for a long time.
My main problem was that the error message replaced the partially rendered target page. Firefox should have handled the connection reset more quietly once the target page rendering had started.
