User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051206 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051206 Firefox/3.0 When playing a YouTube video, it'll play fine upon initial startup of FireFox. After program has been active for a while, if I try to play any YouTube video, it'll stop at EXACTLY the 2 second mark, and will not play at all unless I close FireFox, relaunch, and then go back to the video again. I was hoping this would be something that got fixed with the latest version, but it's been happening to me even with the current standard release version as well. Any clues? I prefer FireFox to IE, and hate to have to open IE just to play videos. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Launch Firefox 2.Keep open and active for a while (over two hours) 3.Attempt to play a YouTube Video Actual Results: ALL videos stop at EXACTLY the 2 second mark, and will not play unless I do a complete shutdown and restart of Firefox. Expected Results: Play the videos without any hassles!

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008051522 Minefield/3.0pre This works fine here. Do you have the latest plugin version? Did you also try safe-mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox)

I can confirm this bug. It happens generally when I have multiple (?8) youtube tabs open, or have cumulatively viewed as many in the one session. Occasionally though, it'll do it when there are only two youtube tabs open, during a session restore. On all occasions I have many other non-youtube tabs open, though that may or may not be related. It'll start playing the vid, but only get to exactly 2s. Skipping forward anywhere in the vid will play a further 2 seconds of soundless video. FF restarts with cache-clearing *generally* work, but sometimes does not, and I have to do it again. I'm running the latest Flash plugin: Shockwave Flash File name: NPSWF32.dll Shockwave Flash 9.0 r124 MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled application/x-shockwave-flash Adobe Flash movie swf Yes application/futuresplash FutureSplash movie spl Yes The only other related plugins I am running are VLC Multimedia and Realplayer/RealJukebox. This problem has been around since about halfway through the FFV3Beta series, that I noticed. I NEVER had the problem in FF2, for which I could play as many youtubes vids as I wanted without hassle. I have previously uninstalled and reinstalled flash, and various other plugins. I stripped out several, thinking it may have been a clash, but it's still a problem. VLC is my main non-FF player and has most associations. This bug seems to be the same as 421693

You could try the flash 10 beta which fixed this for many people: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplayer10/
