User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14; nse) Gecko/20080514 Firefox/2.0.0.14 Flock/1.1.4 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.14 When I try to read a newsgroup, example rec.aviation.military, I see no messages since 12 May 2008. I also get: A News (NTTP) error occurred: maximum number of connections reached (Tornado V1.0.8.418). I don't know if it's related. I can read the groups in google. I uninstalled and installed the latest Thunderbird, no change. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Uninstall 2. Installed latest Thunderbird 3. Opened 4. Same problem. Actual Results: Same as described in summary Expected Results: I expected to be able to read and reply to newsgroups
Plenty of NNTP connection errors. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=news+connection I personally prefer bug 66150. Could you also post an NNTP log? http://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging
