A search for keywords divided by spaces can not be immediately cleared.

Waiting a wee bit more (a couple of milliseconds) and then hitting delete or backspace does work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. type "test test test test" in search box
2. hit ctrl-e and immediately hit delete or backspace
Actual Results:
If you hit delete, see "test test test" (only the first word before the space deleted).
If you hit backspace, see nothing deleted (cursor moved before first word).

Expected Results:
In either way, see search box cleared.

Reporter, if you still see this broken behavior with Firefox 3.5.2 feel free to reopen the bug. Thanks.
