Details

(Whiteboard: [trunk and 1.8 Branch])

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080313 SeaMonkey/1.1.9 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080313 SeaMonkey/1.1.9 I think it is easier for users to have an embedded close button on each of opened tabs. So, users don't need to run through their mouse to the right corner close tab button in order to close a single tab. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: N/A
This means implementing the about:config preference browser.tabs.closeButtons in SeaMonkey. - Moving to Preferences as I suppose the first and last work would be done there. A spinoff bug in Suite/Tabbrowser (or somewhere, maybe even Core/Themes which is actually a SeaMonkey component) may be necessary though. - Moving to Trunk as this is an RFE: If this gets implemented, it will be on trunk first; thereafter, it may or may not be ported to the Branch (I guess the Branch won't get a UI for it other than about:config, since the whole Preferences UI is currently being ported to a different backend which doesn't exist on the Branch.) - Moving to All/All - Adding to CC a couple of people who might be interested. I hate closebuttons on every tab as they needlessly take up much needed real estate at a place where it is in high demand (the tab bar, where I have many tabs). This is just a personal opinion though, and other people may want it otherwise. Wendy: If you don't want to move your mouse, hit Ctrl+W to close the current tab; or right-click any tab, then "Close tab" to close it.
