if theres no wat to turn off 'show passwords' as plain text then every install of firefox allows ANY user to retreive all passwords with a few clicks of a mouse.  now ill have to go back to IE!!!!

all passwords revealed

Expected Results:  
ask for a password to reveal passwords, or only encrypt so NO ONE ever can see them!

That's what the Use Master Password function is for (directly above the Show Passwords button). Set a master password and Firefox will require the entering of that password before showing passwords.
