If you have the extensions window open in the background and close the main window firefox will not restore the tabs when restarted. Same thing happens if a pop-up has opened in the background and you choose to quit firefox and the program closes the main window before the pop-up, although that may be "working as intended".

Same thing happens in version 2.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open FF and browse a few tabs (having restore tabs on startup activated)
2. Open Extensions window
3. Close main then extensions window and restart firefox.
Actual Results:
I get a blank session and my blood pressure increases about 200%

Expected Results:
FF should restore the tabs, the extension window should not overwrite the tab session (at least that's how I would expect it to work).

Ignore the extension window and save the tabs open in the actual browser window.

Looks like a dupe of Bug 354894.

That WORKSFORME using Firefox 3.0 RC1. Should work for Firefox 2.0 as well.

Can you reproduce this behavior on a clean profile (or with all extensions disabled)?

That's a different issue: bug 368677.
