Fits documents to our window width. Also adds better error handling for _contentAreaDimensions (better error message if you attempt to retrieve it too early), adds _updateViewState from bug 436083 (factoring out the "new page" state resetting), and adjusts when we call it to make sure we only do so after the page already has a defined width.
