Every time i close firefox beta i have to go to the task manager to kill process of Firefox.exe because it still runing altho i already closed firefox and there's no other way i can open a new firefox window.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open firefox
2.close firefox
3.Try re opening firefox and but will appear sayin that there is already a version runing. 
Actual Results:  
Ok you open firefox and surf to anywebsite then close it and then try to open it again and a window will pop up saying that there's already a firefox runing or something like that and if you check the task manager with ctrl+alt+delete then indeed there will be the process of firefox.exe runing, and unless you kill you kill it you wont be able to open a new window.

Expected Results:  
Open a new session of firefox

Reporter, does it also happen if you wait a bit before restarting Firefox? This looks like a dupe of bug 407981?

Yes i've waited for like 2 hours and still happens but i did a mistake on the report theres not any kind of message telling you that there's already a version runing it just doesn't opens at all.

Same here.
Run Firefox 3, run a few tabs, close a few tabs, try to close FF, Windows disappears as if closed.

Try to reload FF, error message "FF already running".

Can't kill FF in task manager or command line.

Only resolution is to reboot.

I report the same issue, but only when firefox is called from Thunderbird.

If firefox is closed after being opened by Thunderbird, then an attempt to open firefox later gives error message that Firefox is already running.  If go to task manager, the process can be killed manually and then Firefox booted up.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.10 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.

Issue does not seem to still be in latest version of Firefox.
