Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080313 SeaMonkey/1.1.9

When I insert a link to a named anchor within the active document, the link inserts OK for the selected link text, but the link does not display as formatted [blue (#0000ff) underlined] text in the composer document. The link is there, as can be verified by double-clicking on the affected link text, which opens the Insert Link dialog showing the correct item in the Link Location text box. But there's no way to tell that the link is there by visual inspection of the displayed content.

The bug does not affect inserted links to external referents, such as www URLs or other files—just named anchors that already have been embedded within the active document.

This bug exists in BOTH the Composer app and in the Mail & Newsgroups mail composer.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. First ensure that a Named Anchor already exists in the document.

2. Select the text to which the inserted link will apply.

3. Open the Insert Link dialog from the Insert menu (or via the toolbar icon, if present).

4. In the Link Location section of the dialog, select the desired Named Anchor from the popup list and click "OK".
Actual Results:
Composer inserts the link at the selected text, but the link does not display as formatted [blue (#0000ff) underlined] text in the composer document.

Expected Results:
The link should display as formatted [blue (#0000ff) underlined] text in the composer document, or as otherwise determined by Preferences:Composer:New Page Settings.

This bug might be related to Bug 334723, which is now FIXED. I searched Bugzilla using the search queries "Insert link" and "Inserted link doesn't display", but I found no other bugs listed that appear to be duplicates of this bug.
