437851 - Can not copy and paste rich text into other apps

When I select a part of a webpage and press the copy menu button (or shortcut) than only the plain text is copied to the clipboard wihtout any style informations or images.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a part of a website
2. Press Edit -> Copy
3. Go to (for example) word and paste
Actual Results:  
Only the plain text information is copied

Expected Results:  
All formatting informations and images should be included

This happens on OS X (with FF2 and FF3), but not on Windows or Linux
(with either FF2 or FF3).  The problem also doesn't happen in Safari
(on OS X).  I tested on OS X 10.5.3.

So I suppose this must be a Cocoa widgets bug ... but I don't know
where the bug might be.  Josh, any ideas?

(By the way, in my tests I visited http://www.apple.com/, did cmd-a
and cmd-c (or ctrl-a and ctrl-c), then pasted the results into
TextEdit (on OS X) or Word (on Windows) or OpenOffice (on Linux).)

It seems related to both.  But bug 79864 is a bit of a mess, and bug 428096 actually has a patch.  So let's dup it to bug 428096.

I do agree this is a bug, though.  And fixing it wouldn't just be an enhancement.

I am hoping to raise the attention and importance of this issue and hopefully get the HTML, styl, rtf, img function of the Firefox clipboard finally fixed.
