User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pl; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052912 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pl; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052912 Firefox/3.0 Please go to: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/grant.html And Firefox will show artifacts on the website. After selecting the text, it becomes visible. After deselecting the text - it's visible still. If the Firefox window will lose focus, artifacts will show up again (that's why there is no screenshot showing that they are disappearing). It happens on Linux with Firefox 3.0-rc2 (not tested on Windows). I don't have any Windows fonts on my system (Fedora Core 9 with GNOME desktop). No composite manager running (not even xcompmgr). PS. The webpage is broken, but I think it's not related to any CSS/HTML stuff, but the renderer. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 3.0-rc2 2. Go to http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/grant.html 3. Look at the artifacts on the screen Actual Results: Firefox shows artifacts. Expected Results: Firefox should show the correct font (the same after selecting and removing the selection) The ugly font
PS. Sorry After scrolling slowly through the page problem disappears, but if you scroll rapidly the problem occurs.
I'm not seeing those artifacts (Ubuntu 8.04). I thought this might be bug 215055, but there isn't overflow: scroll/auto in that CSS.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1a1pre) Gecko/2008060902 I can't reproduce this on Fedora 9. I do, however, have the Windows fonts installed.
It looks like this: http://dp0154.debowypark.waw.pl/sql-1.png But as I said, highlighting the text fixes the problem, but if Firefox window will lose focus it reappears.
BTW. I doesn't help if I'll switch to xcompmgr and safe mode (firefox --safe-mode)
Installing MSTTCOREFONTS (Microsoft Fonts) didn't help either.
