User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; da; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008053008 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; da; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008053008 Firefox/3.0 From view sidebar bookmarks i am able to open bookmarks in the side of my browser. When i wan't to close it again and hit the x or close button in the top right corner nothing happens. The buttons does respond graphically as if it's clicked. But the bookmarks sidebar remains in place. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open bookmarks sidebar 2. Try to close it Actual Results: I was not abe to close the bookmarks sidebar Expected Results: The bookmarks sidebar should have closed I am using the default theme with foxmarks, taboo and web developers toolbar.
I recently ran into a similar problem, but my problem was not reproducible (once I closed the sidebar and re-opened it from the View menu, I no longer saw this problem). Do you see this problem even after the sidebar has been closed and re-opened from the View menu?
You are quite right! I didn't knew that you could close it again from the view menu. But doing so seems to resolve the problem. Even after a restart of the browser. I will try to see if i can reproduce it after restarting the entire system. And il check it under windows aswell. I have set the severity to minor.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
