User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/20080528 Fedora/2.22.2-1.fc9 Epiphany/2.22 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: xulrunner-1.9-0.60.beta5.fc9.x86_64 In the Totem web browser plugin's ->newp, we do: totemNPVariantWrapper baseURI; if (!NPN_GetProperty (mNPP, mPluginElement, NPN_GetStringIdentifier ("baseURI"), getter_Copies (baseURI)) || !baseURI.IsString ()) { D ("Failed to get the base URI"); return NPERR_GENERIC_ERROR; } This fails when use the back button to come back to a page unless browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers is set to 0 in about:config. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load page with the Totem plugin 2. Browse away from the page following a link 3. Click "Back" to get back to the original page Actual Results: The plugin fails to Init because baseURI couldn't get gotten. Expected Results: baseURI is available.
I assume this was not an issue with Firefox 2?
Unfortunately, the codebase was different to support Firefox 2, and used dom3Node->GetBaseURI to get the base URI of a document. If you didn't come through the other bugs, bug 369556 and bug 438882 seem to be similar bugs. We get "Bad NPObject as private data!" as an error in the javascript console.
