User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008060309 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008060309 Firefox/3.0 I just upgraded to RC2 and noticed the flicker (it is impossible not to), yet the flickering is not always there even when I reload the same page, just 9 out of 10 times. When disabling noscript, ff seemed to behave better, and only flicker 1 out of 10 times. I did not have this problem before I upgraded to RC2 from the last beta. I also downloaded the latest tarbal from mozilla.org to check it was not a problem with the kubuntu version.. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Seems like it has nothing to do with noscript, noscript resized the window, the resizing seems to trigger the flickering.
Downloaded the latest build and the problem seems to have gone away.

Well all the things I tried, like a later version did not work after all. I can stop the flickering consistently by opening a new tab and switching back to the old one and the flickering stops, however on every new page loaded I have to switch to the new tab and back.
The problem was caused/highlighted? by weatherfoxy deinstalling weatherfoxy fixed the problem
