User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080512 Camino/1.6.1 (like Firefox/2.0.0.14) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080512 Camino/1.6.1 (like Firefox/2.0.0.14) It would be nice if a preference could be added to Camino to prompt for confirmation when downloading a file, similar to what is possible with Firefox. Often, I accidentally download files, then it becomes a tedious process of clearing it from the Downloads manager window and trashing the temp download file that Camino creates in the Downloads folder. Such a preference could also be implemented by adding a new option for specifying the download folder as "Always prompt" or something similar, so that the user is always prompted for the download location when a download is initiated (similar to Firefox). Clicking Cancel here would abort the download altogether. I also wonder if, without this preference, Camino is currently susceptible to the same "carpet bombing" issue that affected Safari: http://www.tuaw.com/2008/05/30/safari-carpet-bombing-exploit-could-be-serious/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Click a link that will initiate a file download. Actual Results: Camino immediately begins downloading the file. Expected Results: A prompt confirming download or download location should appear before the file is actually downloaded.
