User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061004 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061004 Firefox/3.0 Normally when I copy part or a full webpage, links are preserved. Not anymore apparently. When I select part of an html page with links, copy and paste, e.g. in Word (Office 2008 for mac), the links don't show up as links anymore, just as plain text. The behavior is OK in Safari (links are copied as such and embed the underlying url.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open ANY webpage with links 2. select and copy a link or some text with links 3. past the clipbaord into a document Actual Results: when you paste, the links show up as plain text. The url is/are lost. Expected Results: The links should be copied over as links with the embedded url Disappointing as I'm a huge fan of FF on all platforms. I hope this is not due to any of the installed extension (clipmarks, Flashblock, Foxmarks, PDF Download and Tab Mix Plus.
Probably a dup of bug 428096.

"Normally when I copy part or a full webpage, links are preserved. Not anymore apparently." I assume you didn't mean that this actually worked at one time in Firefox. If it did, I'd be very curious to know how you got it working, because I'm about 99% sure Steven's analysis is accurate.
If you haven't voted for the duplicate of this bug (bug #428096), please do so. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/votes.cgi?action=show_user&bug_id=428096#vote_428096 I am hoping to raise the attention and importance of this issue and hopefully get the HTML, styl, rtf, img function of the Firefox clipboard finally fixed. Thanks for helping.
