I log onto a corporate lan, when I request my first website it prompts me for a username and password. In firefox 2 this username and password was remembered. In FF3 there's no option to save this username and password. Ideally it would be good if it saved it and sent it to the proxy automatically, only prompting if authentication fails the first tiem.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open firefox
2. Request any web page
3.
Actual Results:
Password dialog appears without any username or password in it
Expected Results:
Password dialog appears *with* the previously saved username or password in it

WFM using both Firefox 3.0.11 and Firefox 3.5.1 (on Windows XP Pro SP3).
If "remember passwords for sites" (Edit->Preferences->Security) is not enabled, Firefox will not allow you to remember the password for proxies either.
Do you have this option disabled in your preferences?
This bug is over a year old. In the past month or so Firefox has started to "remember" the proxy username and password, so this defect can be closed.
