While playing games  on pogo.com and pogo games are java based.  While playing the software just closed out.  I am not sure its because I am using 64 bit window o/s.  I do not know if this will cause any trouble with the 32 bit window o/s.

Reproducible: Always

It was the latest Java from the web site used.  Version 6 Update 5

Jim,

I am running Java Version 6, Update 6 which is the latest from Sun. I am using Vista 64 bit with Firefox 3 and I was not able to reproduce for any of the games on the above site. Try updating to version 6, update 6 and see if that fixes the problem.

This is occurring for lots of users on support.mozilla.com after upgrading to Firefox 3, even after uninstalling Java and re-installing the latest version from www.java.com.

I encountered this crash on a computer with Firefox 3.0.3 running on Windows Vista.

The issue appears to have been caused by the presence of an old release candidate of Java, 1.0.6_rc, if I recall correctly.  The issue has subsided or been completely resolved by the removal of all updates in the 1.6.0 version of Java prior to 1.6.0_06 and 1.6.0_07.

no FF 3.6.x crashes in past 5 months
for FF 3.5.x .. plenty of crashes, eg bp-c9fe2623-1828-488e-8868-b64e62100620 FF 3.5.9 jvm.dll 10.0.0.23
