User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 I log into various sites that have previously "remembered me for next time" via cookie based authentication are simply not. After further checks all cookies are being deleted after every restart Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log into GMail, RememberTheMilk, SomethingAwful 2. I close firefox. 3. I reopen Firefox. Actual Results: I check my cookies list and there is no saved cookies. Expected Results: Retain my cookies. History, Bookmarks, Saved passwords are all kept after a client restart. Tools-> Options -> Privacy: Always clear my private data when I close Firefox is unchecked. Just to be safe I opened up the options and cleared them all. Error still occurring. Error occurring when in safe mode.
Note: Upgraded from previous stable 2.X release
Version: unspecified → 3.0 Branch
above "Tools-> Options -> Privacy: Always clear my private data when I close Firefox" are the cookies set to "keep until they expire" ?
Correct Matthias: Cookies Checked - Accept cookies from sites Checked - Accept third-party cookies Keep until: they expire Exceptions are blank. Date and time of PC are correctly set.
Update: Manually disabling all Add-Ons has resolved the issue. I stated earlier that I ran Firefox in Safe-Mode: getting cookies set, closing Firefox, restarting Firefox in safe mode and finding previous cookies deleted. I am unsure if this indicates a logic error within safe-mode (allowing add-ons to partially load etc) but it would seem that one of my plug ins were to blame. If requested I will post a list of what was disabled.
the safemode should work fine, i expect that you didn't close FF before you tried to start it in the safemode. markign wfm (if you find out which addon caused this send a note the the addon developer)
