Changing Windows XP font smoothing options changes the amount of given effect, but the problem stays. Note: If you select the transparent text the effect magically disappear. Here I'm uploading animated gif with effect: http://onlinemedia.biz/photos/ff3_font_magic.gif Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create transparent container (div with opacity: 0.5 style) 2. Put some text in the container (text inherit the opacity style and become transparent) 3. There is it - the text edges get broken or parts of characters are missing Actual Results: Small transparent fonts look extremely unreadable! Expected Results: The text to look normal and readable like in all the previous versions of FireFox. Windows XP SP2, build 2600.
