439857 - Ability to have bookmarks (not whole profile) on removable drive

Since version 3.0 I am unable to have bookmarks on USB Flash, which I take around multiple PCs. I do keep rest of profile local because I do not want transfer addons and their configs and stored passwords around. Only thing I want/need to take around are bookmarks.

I do not want to use any online service/storage.

I was able to achieve that with 2.x FF using about:config - browser.bookmarks.file

Personally for me it is stopper for FF3 :(

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
- after installing FF3 over FF2 with browser.bookmarks.file set to usb drive file bookmarks from FF2 are not showing in FF3
Actual Results:  
unable to keep bookmarks stored at usb flash drive


Expected Results:  
able to have FF3 using bookmarks stored on USB Flash drive without rest of profile

Firefox 3 suffers by loss of customizability, team refuses to solve this, now I am doomed :/
