User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; it; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; it; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 You can easly try it yourself: http://fixit.altervista.org/bug3.html When you try to save different form information (different username and different passoword) Firefox 3.x saves only the last one used. Even if forms have different ids and names (different action form will not takes effects). NOTE: This problem is NOT present in Firefox < 3.x (In fact I correctly used since today multiple password form with Firefox 2.x) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Type a User and Password in First Form 2. Submit First Form 3. Save information from Password manager bar 4. Type a User and Password in Second Form 5. Submit Second Form 6. First Form now has same User and Password of Second Form. Actual Results: First Form and Second Form have different information stored. Expected Results: First Form and Second Form have same information stored. I could not try this bug in a installation without any component. My components are (the same of Firefox 2.x, where the bug is NOT present): 1. Italian Dictionary 2. DownloadThemAll 3. FireGestures 4. Greasemonkey (that I accuratley controled has nothing to do with multiple password form sites) 5. WebDeveloper No theme. Plug-ins: 1. Java RE 1.6 2. Flash 9 3. Quicktime 7.4.5
Summary: Multiple password (not nested) forms save only one struct of data → Multiple password (not nested) forms save only one struct of data if same username
Just a little update, this happens when in the Second Form you type the SAME username and a DIFFERENT password. So, the bug still there. With different username, the password manager remember different informations, but it could not rememeber Where to place them.

Firefox 3 doesn't use the field names, so when the username is the same it thinks you've changed your password (for the same login).
