Алат ми се чини неспорним, за ово друго бих рекао да је пожељно. Филипе, шта ти мислиш?

Reproducible: Always
Goran, please write in English here. I will get to your remarks asap.

I do not see why Алат would be indisputable. It is shorter than Алати, but that is where the advantage ends. I suppose you mean that Алат is an uncountable noun. I checked in the dictionary (RMS1), and it says that Алат can be both countable and uncountable.

I'd like to see a compelling reason for this change. NB: alignment with other significant translations would be a compelling reason.

FYI, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhwBd-QPXY8 with respect to „Алат“.

Isn't this a collective noun?

I found a long discussion on this topic at:
http://www.vokabular.org/forum/index.php?topic=1266.0

Referring to other translations, Microsoft is using „Алатке“, OpenOffice.org „Алат“, while KDE and GNOME are using both „Алати“ and „Алатке“.

> „Преглед“ -> „Приказ“

Exactly, it's about better fit-in. Microsoft is using „Приказ“, as well as OpenOffice.org and KDE. I guess that GNOME will follow soon.
Similar arguments can be made for „Уреди“, where GNOME, KDE, OpenOffice.org and Microsoft are using „Уређивање“.

I wanted to point to that too, but for some reason I posted a youtube link (?!).

However, I checked the dictionary myself and found that it can be a collective noun (the first meaning), but can also be "normal" (the second meaning) in which case the dictionary points to „Алатке“ for further explanation.

The rest is OK, I will correct this, though a low priority. You can track this bug to see when it closes.

Ever confirmed: true
Because MS Internet Explorer and Firefox are the most popular browsers, we should make Firefox translation THE SAME as Internet Explorer. So, „Алати” should be changed to „Алатке”, „Забелешке” to „Омиљене локације”, „Умножи” to „Копирај” etc.
GNOME, KDE and OpenOffice are very rarely used by Serbs (unfortunately)...

I actually think that translation guide say we should keep Mozilla's distinctive look and feel, which is 1) with a longer tradition than; and 2) different from that of IE. This closes the issue for me. The rest of the translations have been synchronized.
