Please add the option on exiting Firefox to bookmark all currently open pages to an appropriately titled bookmarks folder ("OnExit - <Date><Time>", maybe?).

Pages should probably be saved as subfolders and tabs as individual bookmarks. Exception: Pages with a single tab could just be added as bookmarks at the top ("OnExit") level.

This would make it possible to selectively open a subset of the pages that you had open from a large session when you next launch Firefox.

Thanks.

That's what session restore is for. Exit and save all tabs to reload on next launch. There's also already a bookmark all tabs feature, too. Give Firefox 3 a try at some point.

Anything more along these lines would probably fall under the jurisdiction of extensions.

My apologies. Firefox 3 apparently came out when I wasn't looking.

Please disregard this request.
