Instead, Firefox displays the top left part of the screen background. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to www.journalduneblonde.net (for example). The banner is not displayed properly. Actual Results: Image is replace by a same-size image, but coming from the screen background. Expected Results: Well... proper image displaying, of course. Default theme, Gentoo Linux.

Could this be bug 411831 ?
I'm not sure, but comment #13 of bug 411831 could be related.
Hmmm... bug 411831#c13 maybe (for the link to work properly)
After tinkering somehow on my computer's config... It does look like it's FF3-on-Xorg-on-Nvidia related, since I'm using the NV driver and the Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" "on" made this bug/problem disappear.
I'm sure this is a dupe of bug 411831
