Two problems are obvious:
1. Black text on dark grey background is very difficult to read (especially on some laptops and darker monitors).
2. Window is too transparent. Background text is clearly readable making the interface cluttered and harder to navigate. Transparency should be subtle if used at all.
See attached screenshot. I'm not sure if this applies only to the Macintosh version or not (haven't seen the PC or Linux versions).
