I'm seeing this too in one of my profiles, but not in a different (more empty) one.
I already was wondering about this some longer time, because I saw in that profile sometimes largers fonts on particular websites.
But I never figured out how/why this was triggered.

Disabling my extension in that profile, doesn't help, but starting up in safe mode does help.

Oops, never mind, there is one extension that seems to be the culprit for me.
Josh, do you have extensions installed? Could you try out and see if one of your extensions is causing this?

I'm not sure if I can. The occurrence is rare, but I'll give it a go. ;)

Ok, it is the extension that is attached to bug 436717 that is causing this, so I suspect you are suffering from a similar issue.

I don't think so. The bug has happened again. I pressed page info, and it wasn't it quirks mode. It was in standards mode.
No longer depends on: 436717

Josh, page info might say that it is in standards mode, but the rendering is still in quirks mode, even though page info stays it is in standards mode.
That is exactly what bug 436717 is about.

This seems to be fixed, now. I'll resolve this to reduce triage's workload.
