Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0
The Data Execution Prevention (DEP) showed up when using vista SP1 x64 and Firefox 3.0 crashed (I do not have special details, I was using gmail started from google talk). Crash reporter window did not open. The DEP is turned on for all software (before when it was for windows only no problem), however I cannot be sure because I do not know how to generate the crash (I can add details on the next crash.)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turn on DEP on a windows vista, enable crash reporter in FF 3.0
2. Do a crash using gmail [it crashes often :( ]
3.
Actual Results:
DEP notification shows up FF built-in crash reporter does not start
Expected Results:
Open up FF built-in crash reporter and not do steps considered data execution
I cannot be sure because I do not know how to generate the crash (I can add details on the next crash.) I hope the information is enough and precise (that is my first time to do a report).

Since then in one case Talkback (crash reporter) started normally so I suppose Firefox was blocked and not Talkback (it was hard to identify when nothing started). => Proposition to change the bug's title.
To get this crash clicked on a message in gmail inbox not long after starting FF by google talk directly.
Summary: blocked crash reporter by data execution prevention → shut down Firefox by data execution prevention no Talkback

After precising this problem I found another bug description that approximately fits mine: If one confirms that DEP can kill firefox AND block Talkback I propose marking this thread as a copy of the bug #440969. (Difference: my crashes are less frequent).
I will still work with the utility given in comment #1 "2008-07-06 14:38:28 PDT".
1. talkback is only used w/ ff2, not ff3
2. crash reporter used w/ ff3 can't handle DEP reporting. AFAIK there is no way to configure a DEP reporter, you'll always get the system reporter.
If your concern is w/ the fact that you aren't getting a mozilla.org reporter, this bug is almost certainly WONTFIX (really CANTFIX).
If your concern is about a specific crash, see comment 1.

The concern is what FF3 does in order to be killed by DEP, not the type of the reporter that is opened (Mozilla Crash Reporter or windows DEP reporter or anything).
I probably cannot reproduce the same crash but I hope I can give additional information to this type of crash.
Marking bug as copy of bug #440969 concerning FF3.0 final on PC x64 with Vista SP1 64 bit DEP on for all application.
