On my mail server, I run a filter that puts some of my (POP) mail into an mbox file in the associated shell account. When I look at that mail, using Pine, I'll sometimes forward (bounce) one to an alternate account so that it can arrive in my TB inbox.
The problem I run into over and over is, I reply to one of those messages and forget to reset the identity to that of the original account. This happens even if I drag the mail from the alternate Inbox to the one where it would have arrived, if it hadn't been filtered.
Pine adds a Resent-From header (per RFC 4405). I would like it if, when choosing an identity, this header could be checked and, if it maps to an existing identity, that identity is the one that gets used for the Reply.
