This website does automatic conversion from translit to Cyrillic characters. In previous Firefox version, the key combination for copy-paste operation (command +A,C,V,X) was working fine, in 3.1 instead of functionality the character is typed instead.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to www.translit.ru
2.type "qwerty" in text area, than do 'command +A', the "qщертя" will appear
3.
Actual Results:
qщертя

Expected Results:
Instead there must be "qщерты" highlighted.

Only this specific web site suffers from the described behavior. When using mouse to highlight, copy and paste there is no problem.
The problem is present only in OS X
This is a regression caused by the patch for bug 398514.

The problem doesn't happen with the 2008-04-07 Minefield nightly
(which doesn't have this patch), but does happen with the 2008-04-08
nightly (which does have it).

We should probably fix this regression in Firefox 3.1 at least...

Doesn't really meet the "wanted" criteria (security, stability, regression from
maintenance release) for 1.9.0.x. However, we'll look at a reviewed and baked patch.
