Using 'Convert to', I would expect that the event gets converted into a task and the event doesn't exist anymore, but a new task.

I think it makes sense when converting from an event to a task (and vice versa), but I prefer the current behavior when converting to or from an email.

Maybe the first step could be to correct the labeling, e.g. Change "Convert to -> Task" to "Convert to -> New Task". The second step could evaluate the behavior of the different conversion routines and change it if necessary.

Still happening under Lighning 1.0 and TB 8.
