446696 - form data history not remembered across sessions if real player plugin is installed

While testing major update from Fx20014 to Fx3.0 on the majortest channel I noticed that the form data and search plugin history were not remembered during the update. Later we noticed that this data was not being preserved across Fx2 sessions, and we narrowed it down to the "RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin 1.0" add-on which comes with that plugin.

After you disable this add-on the client goes back to remembering this data across sessions.

This might be a problem with the add-on, but I'm filing this bug to note this issue seen during MU testing.

On Mac 10.4 I don't have Real Player installed and still see the form data MU failure.  Maybe it's Windows Media Plugin there?

I'm on XP and it seems to be Real Player for me as well. When I disable RP, and do searches, those searches are remembered after MU. However, once RP is enabled, all searches conducted afterward are forgotten after MU.

Sounds like a problem in old 3rd party code, not much we can do about that now.
