Details

While testing bug 43828, in an attempt to disable the cache, I found out that this option had no effect on the actual use of the memory cache. I ended up setting the memory cache size to 0, which did effectively disable the cache. bug 43828 was a Linux-only bug, but I think this one is XP, can someone come up with a testcase to prove it?
