Details

To see this, 1)Load the page in the URL above. 2)Set Char Coding Auto-Detect to KO or a chaset other than JA. 3)Select the correct charset (JA [S_JIS]) from Char Coding| Multibyte menu. ==> The JA page is displayed in garbage. Observed in Win32 070508-M17, Mac 070521-M17 and Linux 070608-M17 blds.
Cata, could you look at this?

This web page is used Frame. Character coding override is not working in Frame. http://babel/tests/browser/charoverride/framewchar1.html has 2 non meta charset info pages. When you set the Auto-detect to Korean and try to override the character coding to shift-JIS, the Japanese characters in the frame are not displayed correctly.
So has that problem been filed as a separate bug?
Change the summary to Frame specific.
Summary: [regression] Character Coding override broken again → Character Coding override broken in Frame
