My opinion: it doesn't make any sense to use the mouse-scroll to page months at a time, and it's annoying when it happens. Clever trick, not a usability feature.. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open calendar view 2. use mouse scroll wheel Actual Results: with option to disable, nothing should happen when scroll-wheel thru months is disabled
When in month view or multi-week view and the scroll wheel is used while hovering over a date, it results in the month changing. If this were to happen when the mouse pointer is over the panel displaying the names of the months it would be fine but for it to happen while hovering over days is counter-intuitive. It gets very annoying when you mouse over a date with more than three events scheduled and expect the scroll wheel to scroll through the events and end up looking at the calendar for a few months before or after the month you were originally looking at. My OS is linux (Ubuntu 8.10).
comment #1 was fixed by now I believe. I think we can give out a new hidden pref here.
