User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.16) Gecko/20080702 Firefox/2.0.0.16 Build Identifier: http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.0.1&os=win&lang=en-US Using firefox 3 (product download linked above), the spellcheck part of the TinyMCE Java applet only works for the first word in the dialog box. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to a website using TinyMCE 2.Misspell a word 3.Misspell the next word Actual Results: The second, and thereafter misspelled words are not recognized as being misspelled. Expected Results: Spell checking should work on the entire text area. TinyMCE is a Java applet to provide a word-processor like text editor for web applications. I am using it to work with eBay templates on a locally hosted problem, although the problem existed when using TinyMCE on other sites. When I downgraded to FireFox 2.0.0.16, the problem went away, and spell check worked again in full.
Version: unspecified → 3.0 Branch
I should mention that this is using the built-in textbox spell checker, not any add-on TinyMCE spell checkers.
Have you tried to reproduce this in Safe Mode http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode?
duplicate of bug 432225. By the way, TinyMCE is pure Javascript (not a Java applet).

By the way, I didn't find this other bug report searching before. Weather it's an applet, or pure javascript; the problem remains.
Sure, it's not always easy to find existing bugs, but thanks anyway for trying to find it and for your bug report. The problem is identified and we can hope that it will be addressed in the future.
