In bug 199732, markers were implemented to show that an event spans multiple days in month and multiweek views. Similar code should be written for day and week views. Also, instead of images unicode arrows were used due to lack of UI and nearing release. These should be replaced with images.
Depends on: 199732
These markers should also be added for all-day events.
I also miss these markers for all day events.
1) It's all-day events that really need this feature: planning for trips, conferences, general out-of-office events. Visually, it is far more useful if the event place-holder actually spans the days, as a continuous bar: those events then immediately jump out. (For week, multi-week, month views.) 2) The place-holder should be placed at the same height for every day it covers. Currently it jumps up and down between days, depending on where it lies alphabetically. (Much improved though, thanks!)
Day and week view are perfect, all day events show at the top. But multi-week and month views show all day events as individual items. I could have sworn they were at the top in one version or another, and have been expecting to see this fixed. Maybe I was mistaken and it never worked in monthly/multi-week view. Would love to see this fixed.
Even if the boxes aren't joined together across the grid boundaries, can somebody at least make it not repeat the event name 7 times per week? Only the first box per week needs the text label, and that would be a huge usability improvement for a cluttered calendar.
