Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en; rv:1.9.0.2pre) Gecko/2008080900 Camino/2.0a1pre (like Firefox/3.0.2pre)
Camino nighties frequently hang for minutes till forever with a beachball after trying to quit.
Mainly the hangs with a spinning beachball occur after running Camino for quarter of an hour or more. I can usually successfully quit without any hang if Camino has only been open a few minutes. I always have large numbers of auto-saved tabs - anywhere from 20 - 100 or more. It varies.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run Camino with many pages open at once for over 15 minutes or so.
2. Quit
3. If Camino does hang - wait a few minutes to see if it finally quits successfully - it may never.
Actual Results:
Camino is hung with beachball for several minutes or forever.
Expected Results:
Quit immediately.

Please attach a sample of the hang, as described at:
http://caminobrowser.org/documentation/bugzilla/#hang
We have a couple bugs about hangs in nightlies, so it's probably a duplicate of one of those, but we'll need a sample to be sure.

Can you also check if there is any output/logging into Console ? Open /Applications>Utilities>Console.app, and check what it displays for Camino around the time you quit the browser.

Try disabling your Flash plugin, too. If the problem goes away after disabling Flash, this is almost certainly a dupe of the one I filed about eight months ago.

Certainly looks like Flash might be the culprit, but the stack looks different from Bug 412223 (pacman).
Two things to try: disabling Flash (comment 3) and also trying out the latest Flash 10 beta (which helps with bug 438575, apparently; see bug 438575 comment 10).

Flash 10beta d26 was released a few hours ago. With the previous (d525) version of 10b we never had that hang problem.

This is unquestionably hanging in Flash code, so moving to Core:Plug-ins for investigation and triage.
Component: General → Plug-ins
Product: Camino → Core
QA Contact: general → plugins
Summary: Camino nighties frequently hang for minutes till forever with a beachball after trying to quit. → Camino hanging in Flash when trying to quit
Version: unspecified → Trunk
Reporter, Please update if you are able to still reproduce with the latest camino build.

For whatever it's worth, the last few times I've quit Camino, it's taken forever. I haven't sampled because I'd forgotten about this bug, but I'll try that next time I quit (probably a little later today) and see if the hang persists.
Re-opening for further investigation at the moment.

Resolving old bugs which are likely not relevant any more, since NPAPI plugins are deprecated.
