It's perfectly normal for plugin installers to ask you to close Firefox temporarily. What's wrong with that?

Based on private email from the reporter:
---
The Flash installer kept saying something along the lines of "You must close Firefox", even though all Firefox windows were already closed. Understandably, this confused Michel. Killing a stray firefox.exe process using Task Manager fixed the problem.
---
We've had scattered reports of things like this happening. If you know how Firefox got into that state, we'd love to know. Otherwise, I'll just add this to the list of duplicates of bug 239223, which should help ensure that when we do figure out what causes it, fixing it will be a priority.
