Attached image calendar error dialog
When there is an error of some kind with a calendar this dialog appears as Thunderbird starts up. There needs to be a better solution to this problem. We can develop some kind of indicator visible from the main mail view that there is a problem with the calendar. Also we should work on another indicator for inside the calendar view and what steps a person can take to remedy the situation. I'm hoping this isn't a dupe, I searched but couldn't find it.
Sounds similar to the work left open in Bug 392561. See Bug 392561 Comment #21.
Right, sounds similar. Though the works to be done in bug 392561 currently cover only an indicator in the calendar list, i.e. visible on calendar mode. Maybe a growl/tray-like notification for calendar problems is suitable in mail mode?
Bryan, are you still getting this error? Since its over a year ago, I'll assume not for now, please reopen if this is still the case. It would be interesting to see what kind of error console messages come with this, this usually only happens if something is borked with the profile or storage calendar.
