Hm, I'm not seeing a freeze, and since we've had no other reports of this, not going to block the 3.1 release on this. Can you provide more information about your bookmarks collection, or provide a places.sqlite file? What extensions do you have installed? How many bookmarks were in the folder you opened, or are all folders that slow? Does opening an empty folder cause the problem?
