The message "MIME message decoding error: reached a premature end of data" appears in the preview panel and when I reply or create a new note I cannot enter text into the body of the note - the recipients and subject are fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. click on a message - error appears in preview although new window is okay 2. reply to message - can't enter into the message body if it is in teh HTNL editor - works for text 3. Actual Results: Since I upgraded my web mail has a couple of errors. The message "MIME message decoding error: reached a premature end of data" appears in the preview panel and when I reply or create a new note I cannot enter text into the body of the note - the recipients and subject are fine. Expected Results: Preview corectly and enter message text As described above
Hi John, I have exactly the same problem as you describe. I overcame it temporarily by using a Internet Explorer browser which is slower than firefox. I think firefox has to devise a patch. Apparently IE used to have the same problem. Gordon bestwaytaz@aol.com
We're going to need a whole lot more detail in order to begin to address this. We need to know how the message is constructed that is sent to the preview frame - does it happen on all messages? Can you create a test message that causes the issue? Firefox doesn't do any mime email parsing, so that error is likely coming from the web mail application itself. We don't have an account on this service, so we can't test it ourselves.
This is a mass search for bugs which are in the Firefox General component, are UNCO, have not been changed for 500 days and have an unspecified version. Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10 or later, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the issue, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the status to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.
