User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070206 Firefox/3.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070206 Firefox/3.0.1 This is a problem that extends to earlier versions of Firefox, it's not something new. I grab a link and try to drag it to my toolbar of bookmarks. As soon as I grab the link, a hover "pop-up" shows up telling me "This website does not supply identity information". If I let go of my bookmark in the desired location (say, a folder on my toolbar or any other available spot - which I can do in Camino and Safari with no problem) nothing happens. No bookmark gets made. If, on the other hand, I wait for the hovering message to disappear, I get to make my bookmark and all is swell. In earlier versions of Firefox the hovering message used to be an instruction on what to do with the dragged link (something like "drag your link to create a bookmark" - I can't remember, and I don't have the old version anymore). I had hoped the problem would be gone in this new version, but all that's changed is the message in the hovering box. It's annoying. How can I get rid of the hovering message boxes that explain every little move I make and mess with my drag and drop bookmarking? Thanks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Grab a link and try to drag it to bookmarks toolbar. Actual Results: As soon as I grab the link, a hover "pop-up" shows up telling me "This website does not supply identity information". Expected Results: I should be able to drag and drop bookmarks without having to wait for the hover text to disappear.
