In Sunbird 0.8 the navigation buttons were large pieces of text (e.g. "Weeks 38-40" to go back, "Weeks 40-42" to go forward). While these were a bit unattractive they were good usability-wise since they were quite large targets for the mouse cursor. In Sunbird 0.9 these are now very small icons (looking a bit like "< o >" for all three buttons) which are too small for fast targetting with the mouse cursor. Would be grateful if you would make them larger.

1. Download Sunbird 0.9
2. Open it.
3. Go to the day or week or multiweek or month view.

Agreed. Here in Sweden (I don't know about the rest of the world) we use week numbers a lot. Maybe there could be an optional navigation bar in all views that was more optimized for navigation by week number. Where you could navigate forward and backward to a specific week number.

The poor usability in the new Sunbird (0.9) when navigation by week number is the sole reason that I registered here.

I agree the nav buttons need to be larger. We will fix this within the next weeks.

Is it maybe an option to provide tooltips like "back to calendar week 43" or "back to calendar weeks 43-427"?

I think this bug is more about the size of the buttons. It is harder to find and click the current 15x15 pixel buttons with your mouse compared to the previous buttons that were about 50x20 pixel or bigger.

I assume you mean Thunderbird: bug 490329? ;)

As the buttons in the grid are real buttons now, I think its ok to close this bug.
